Mother Earth is yawning, stretching
preparing for the glorious
awakening
The seedtime is nigh, the sun
and rain plentiful to help them
in the budding journey
Trees, grasses, plants once brown
are flowering, oh, tiny miracles!
This is the vernal phase of Her cycle,
fresh air thick with promise —
— with the busy work of growing.
Vibrant perennial, humble daisy, beautiful primrose
are all in full bloom, so sudden it must be
** magic **
Sweet baby birds chirp once more,
as if shouting the news, “Springtime!
Spring has arrived!”
And in nature’s new beginnings
we embrace our own.
